Hi All,

I just worked through one of the Yancy FLIP tutorial on Vimeo.
https://vimeo.com/107373065 [vimeo.com]

The next step, for me, is to apply a material to each colored particles. I applied a simple Mantra Surface to the top level GEO object but when I render I still see only red and blue particles.

What is the trick to getting materials applied to a fluid surface?

EDIT:
I can follow up the DOPNET with an Attribute and delete Cd (which allows the mantra surface material to work) but then I lose the RED/BLUE color information and the result is a single color. I would like to route a different mantra surface material to the RED and BLUE information.

Group red and blue then apply material.

Remember, I am following this tutorial and I don't yet know all the ins and outs of how it actually works. I believe the posted file represents the completion of the tutorial.

All I have is Cd from a Point Wrangle that is using an expression to make red and blue. So how would I group them in this case?

Use Cd.r and Cd.b to group.

I tried using Cd.r as a pattern for a group but the Group node just errors out. Houdini does not seem to recognize Cd.r in that context.
