Hi ,
Is OSX 10.10.3 and H14 any better in the display department or are OSX users still going to be plagued with interface crashes / lock ups due to the display drivers.

I doubt it's anything close to 9/10….no place I've ever worked has had Houdini on a mac…
that said - the graphics issues on OSX have never been good - there are multiple threads here about it over the years…and it's usually Apple's fault…
10.10.3 is the latest yes?
I'd log a support issue with Apple as well as a bug report with SESI.

Sure every Vfx studio I've been at is on Linux , most creative graphics studios are using osx. From viewing what I've seen in the studio laptop wise the MacBook Pro is the most popular.
Sure Houdini has had problems with the open gl interface but it was usable. H14 on the other hand is plagued with problems that make it unusable . Which makes it kind of hard to sell to new users. It would be good to get a road plan of what needs to be done to get some usability.

from what I can remember from the other threads it comes down to Apple's drivers…
I'm not sure what has changed in the last few updates from Apple - I'm running 10.9.? at home and things are fine (not great - but ok)
it might be worth searching the forums a bit (use google - not the search tools here) you might find something that helps.

Specs for my Macbook Pro ~
OSX 10.10.3. Late 2011 MacBook Pro, 2.5 GHz, Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM, AMD Radeon HD 6770M 1024 MB.
(My GPU is supported)
I have a topic i've been discussing how H14 is unusable for me as of the most recent daily build: https://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com_forum&Itemid=172&page=viewtopic&t=37497 [sidefx.com]
