python shell question, no popup help

I'm looking through some houdini python tutorials and in one of the videos the when the person starts typing it displays some hints on what python expects, for example assigning n to a node in the scene, in the video as soon as he types “n.name()” or something a yellow windows pops up showing what parameters it expects.

When I try this I don't get any window popups, I checked preferences and I have all the options enabled specifically “context sensitive popup help”.

Any ideas?

thanks

This has been broken for quite a while now. Please submit a bug though so you'll know if/when it ever gets fixed, as well to register interest in actually getting it fixed.

ok thanks for confirming that graham, I will do that.
It's too bad, it makes learning houdini's python easier but there's always the help() method and reference manual as a backup.
