I am using Houdini Apprentice fine, however, when I tried to run hython from the command line, I get a license error.

No licenses could be found to run this application.
Please check for a valid license server host

Is there some limitation with using hython when the license is local ?

My $HFS/houdini/Licensing.opt contains these

licensingMode = localValidator
localValidatorDir = <path to licenses>

Hello, did you ever find a solution to this? I'm having a similar problem. Tried reinstalling Houdini (14.0.395), but no joy.

This was a bug in Houdini. This issue should be fixed in today's build (14.0.404). Please give it a try.
