how can you make Cap segments on a Tube

You have to create hda (asset/tool) for that.
It's easy.

For this simple poly tube, you need 2 extra tubes for caps,

The easier way is to select both caps at the same time and add PolyExtrude set the inset to 1 and add as many divisions as you want.
