im using the wet sand shelf tool, and im attempting to give it some character using attribute vop containing a noise procedural to define “wet” and “dry” groups.

ive got the groups working, but im not sure ive got the next step right..

ive put a pair of “attribcreate” nodes in, one referencing each group.

in there ive added “wetness” under attribute name.

for one, ive set a value of 0, the other, i tried 1, but it doesnt really behave any differently. im now cooking it with a value of 5 for the “wet” group.

what is a valid range for this attribute, and is my methodology correct? ive lifted it from some old experiments i was doing with variable viscosity in H13.

i also tried controlling the clumping weight with the same method, but i got very strange results, even using values of 0 and 1 for the two groups. these values both give predictable results when applied manually to the whole sim, but in this case, the parts with the weight set to 1 started flying slowly up into the air. not a result i expected!

-finally, what does the “wetness” attribute actually define? does it modify clumping values indirectly? or can i try varying both attributes using my groups simultaneously?

end result is some more -rigid- areas in the sand, since my end result is larger chunks in dry soil.
