In the sidefx docs it says you should use “Direct Reflect” layer using the “Per Light” option in Mantra.

http://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini15.0/render/noise [sidefx.com]

Okay, so maybe I'm blind, but I've been up and down the options in the Mantra > Images > Extra Image Planes but I cannot find anything that reads exactly as “Direct Reflect”.

Closest that comes up is Direct Reflectivity, but there is no “Per Light” option that I can see.

Am I looking in the wrong place??? Spent 30min looking for this….

I'm trying to see where some noise in my renders is coming from and I cannot understand how to render these layers “per light” that would help me.

Thanks…

Hi, see attached. I am using light categories to select what light renders the objects for that image plane .Note I am only using diffuse and relfection, the others I have discarded from rendering as I am not using a volume etc
