Hi all !

I installed a Houdini Apprentice and try to run a hip file through my network.

You can see what happens in the image linked.
the file name are grey shaded and are unable to be selected.
Folder creation is impossible too.
If I decide to write the file name in file requester, it opens. The same method seems to works when I want to “save as” the hip.
I didn't try to render anything via network for now.
I would like to fix this first.
Of course all other software I use with this network works fines.

Any help is welcome

I've been having the same issue when accessing directories through samba.

In fact the can't-create-directories issue is a lot older, but I found out that it depended on the owner of the directory on the linux fileserver. I thought it was my bad, so I haven't gotten around to submitting a bug..

The grey filenames popped up a month or two ago. Only through samba, too.

when I use a file sop I am unable to select bgeo.
When I use texture vop I can select images.
But when I want to render with mantra I am still unable to select image.

( of course I can select sequence since sequence is not a real file name)

Sometimes you take this problem when your original file deleted from current directory immediately for some reason !
