Adding UVs to Auto-Rig later in the animation process

Just a quick question for those that have experience with animation in H.

Is this a viable workflow in Houdini or would it lead to a lot of issues:

I have a lot of geometry (characters) to animate and would like to get started on the rigging and animation process (via the Auto-rig) before all my textures get done. I'm waiting for the textures from a friend so I don't want to sit around doing nothing till then.

Would adding the UVs and textures later be problematic via the rig update? The points on the geometry would not change but I'd add the disp, diffuse maps etc…

Thank you

the auto rig tools shouldn't care about UVs for any reason I can think of…
I haven't used them in a while…
the deforming geometry can be even be cashed out without UVs…and then transferred on using the AttributeCopy SOP - be sure you use AttributeCopy.
