Hi,

How do I write out pyro simulations? Usually in fluids I use Rop Output Driver and just render my sim out.

But when I plug a ROP Output Driver in my AutoDopNetwork I get an error:

“Operation Unabvailable in Non-Commercial Edition”

Do I have to buy full commercial licence to write out my pyro?

Try going in to the “import pyro build” node in /obj and attaching the rop output driver to import_pyrofields in there.

Cheers,

Also you can use Explicit Cache instead of using ROP Output Driver in the AutoDopNetwork for writing simulation files (not geometry files).

Actually you have different method for doing that :
1. Use ROP Output Driver in the AutoDopNetwork (commercial licenses only)
2. Use Explicit Cache
3. Use RopOutputDriver in the SOP Network

the cool thing about Explicit Cache is you can continue your simulation after last simulated frame later.

and the cool thing about RopOutputDriver in the SOP Network (Geometry Network) is you can decrease size of your Pyro files with some different methods such as delete unused attributes or data , Compress your Pyro simulations with Volume Compress SOP.

Because size of the Pyro simulation's file is so huge , So I usually use last method for saving them to the Disk
