Hello there,
I want to save a SIM-file to disk in order to use it as a Initital Frame.
In the AutoDopNetwork i go to the last node, the Output node, check my file path and hit Save to Disk….. Nothing happens…..
Please see my attached Hip Apprentice file. The sim is fairly basic so the SIM saving to disk should not be that hard, I guess
Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Giso

BTW, i tried it both in INDIE as in APPRENTICE but the only way i found to cache SIM's is with the Save Checkpoint File at the OBJ Level of my AutoDOP node… Is there something wrong with that method as I haven't found it offered anywhere as a proper solution.

.sim files seem to work for me in Apprentice H14.
At the end of your output add a File node. Set the file node to Write files and browse out to your storage area. Rewind and play the simulation. As the simulation plays the .sim files will be written to there disk by the File node. After playback change the File node operation to not write files anymore.
