Rendering multiple takes

I'm experimenting with Houdini takes and have created several to render. I have one hop file with several objects. Each Take I created has different objects set to render and others off. The other difference is just the output path.

2 questions on this:

1. What is the easiest way to render all of these takes out one after another on a single machine?

2. Is there any easier way, other than creating Takes, to output each of these objects to separate paths?

Thanks,

Adnan

In the OUT context you can drop down several Mantra nodes and then a Merge. Connect all the Mantra nodes to the merge and click the render button on the merge to render all the Mantra nodes with one click. I am not too sure about the Take system, I have not looked into it that much.

Thanks for the reply. That is a good idea, but would I be able to selectively render objects/nodes from my scene using that method? If so, how do I do that within the mantra node? Or do I need to create separate scene files for each part that is to be rendered?

Thanks,

Under the objects tab of each Mantra node you can specify individual objects by name if you like. By default there is ‘*’ wildcard character to indicate all objects should be processed. You can change this for lights and objects.

Don't forget about the Camera Switcher as well. You can use that to animate camera cuts throughout a single timeline.
