i can not see the image node on all of my tools in tool bars. no pictures of any kind are visible. i can see the boxes of all of them but no pictures on any of them. please help

Have you tried moving/deleting your preferences folder?

delete in you user folder the houdini folder and restart houdini. i had that some time ago on linux the reason is that something prevent houdini to generate the icons.

Yes , That's usually happening when Icon files in the Houdini Preferences folder corrupting !

as badhairday said try delete prefs folder or delete only icon folder in :

C:\Users\<User Name>\Documents\houdini13.0\config\Icons
