Houdini 16, I encountered a funny problem with UV Flatten node.
I created a polymesh sphere and dropped down UV Flatten node, tried to select the primitive group, by clicking arrow on the right side of group field:
- if I select part of the prims of the sphere, it works. I can see number of prims in the group field; but
- if I select all the prims, then nothing appears in the group field; and
- If I insist, “BOOM” “Fatal Error!”

I am working on
Houdini FX (apprentice version)
build 16.0.633
Lenovo Thinkstation P500
Intel Xeon E5-1630V3 @3.7GHz
nVidia Quadro M4000
32Gb RAM

That is normal. An empty group field means all the primitives, so when you select all it will be replaced with an empty string.

That isn't normal. You should get a warning about their being no boundary for it to flatten. What do you mean by “insist”? Can you save a .hip file prior to the crash so we can make sure we're trying to reproduce the same thing?

Thanks for the feedback.
I meant, if i keep trying to select all prims and type enter several times then it crashes.
It happens 2 times out of many.
