Bullet solver object impacts fluid

So I created a simple fluid. When a sphere falls into it using a rigid body solver everything looks natural.

However, when objects falls in using a bullet solver they bounce of the liquid with such a crazy impact. Where is all the force coming from and how can I eliminate this? Basically, I just want a particle system that will generate packed objects and naturally fall into the liquid.
