I have a group then a transform then a material using group. I made a change by adding a switch node and now the material has a notice that group is not a valid group. also the connection wire from transform to material is now dotted line instead of solid.

Dotted means it's connected but not being used. The switch sop passes through only 1 input, the rest are unused and not cooked. The dotted connector indicates this.
