CHOPs audio questions

Hi,

I'm doing a thing with CHOPs where I use some music to sync some procedural anim. Looks good when I play back in Houdini, it looks good when I play back in mplay loading the audio there.

However, I can't get it out of Houdini and made into a movie with the audio synced. If I export from mplay, it fails with various errors, ("library configuration mismatch" -- even without audio).

So using ffmpeg, I convert the image sequence to a movie, then bring it into kdenlive, add the audio clip, and it quickly goes out of sync.

Same thing if I try to just insert the audio into the completed QT file using ffmpeg command line.

I imagine there is some kind of sample rate thing going on, but I don't know where to start. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Thanks,
SeanQ

I assume you checked the obvious, FPS. Houdini defaults to 24fps. Perhaps kdenlive is running at 30fps?

Yes, tried that, doing some more experiments today though.
