Setting input object through c# script on HDA

I want to be able to set an input object variable (in my case a curve) through script but I am having trouble achieving this.


In this image you can see the input variable 'input 1' that I want to set through script. My Unity version is 2021.2.10f1 and I am using the newest version of Houdini. When I drag and drop the curve into the inspector manually it works though, but I want to load this data through a script for my application.
