Hello everyone, I can randomize Houdini's existing attributes through the attributerandom node, such as pscale. If I have a new attribute, such as new_attr in the figure, how can I set a random value for this attribute?

Thank for your help!

Put the attribute creation off your new attribute on the right stream
You can see in your attrib randomize node the word pscale. Put the name of your attribute in there.

I found the answer here.

Copy stamping is typically not used anymore.

You might find some variation of this better/easier for your application:

also, not sure what you are trying to accomplish, but did you explore other attributes that might meet your needs in addition to pscale?
