Hello CV,

The reason images are automatically saved in aces-CG is that everyone does composite in aces-cg.
IT is not that much effort to transform it to srgb.

If you want a free good compositing software you can download davinci resolve fusion for free.

You will have to point the node to your aces config.

Hello,

In my current setup to break up tiling repetition, I'm running into an issue.

I need a random value per UV tile, which I could not figure out how to create using just materialX nodes.

This led to me making a texture in cops and using that.

Hover the force compile needs to be pressed every time I change the amount of tiles or my desktop will crash and I have to log in again.


Does anyone know how to set up a random value per uv tile or force compilation of comp networks before a karma viewport render starts ?

Hello I`m facing a problem on linux that the License administrator is missing buttons and text since updating to 19.5
Since i no longer have my educational license i need to activate new licenses and i can`t do that without a UI.

It looks like this.



Am are there new libraries or fonts used that i don`t have ?
Anny assistance is welcomed.

If I Dirty and cook the node, it gets stuck when it arrives at the saving.
This doesn't happen if I don't use `@pdg_index`.

Am I missing a step ?

The clicking of the name not showing me the path it points to also doesnt work with just.

$JOB/geo/boat.obj

Hello,

It seems that after the 19.5 update, I'm no longer able to use backticks in filenames ?
Pressing the name of the field doesn’t change what is rop doesn't render when I put

$JOB/render/$HIPNAME/render_`@pdg_index`.$F4.jpg

As name, but renders fine if I just put $JOB/render/$HIPNAME/render.$F4.jpg

In Unreal ASSET_model_varient_0 type none also appears in the tree below prototypes, so seems like that might be causing the empty instances.

EDIT:

%variant(variantSet = model) %type:Mesh fixed the problem

I have it somewhat working now with the variant setup,
The geometry however does not seem to load geometry




@MASee did you set the material Path in the componentMataterialnode ?

Edit i have it somewhat working in some cases by unticking copy only specified prototype primitives.

it copies a plank space on some points now, though.
Can`t seem to figure out why.

I'm having this problem again in 19.5.
On both windoows and linux.
with a different project.
I also tested with rat files and those also did not work

they throw the following error

[23:11:35] Unable to load texture '../../../../media/data/CGI/year3/comp/kortrijk_alps/shots/alps_a003_c006/graded/distorted/shot_06_ACES_v01_undistort_Fused.0001.rat'

I also tried with PNG this did not work.

It occurred to me this might happen because the viewport render has in some way locked the file from being accessed, but the tab is collapsed, and I’ve read this stops Karma.


I set up with outputs because if I connect the second input only the shadow AOV`s work.

I really need this to function, Any help is appreciated.

Oh, OK! I thought the scene graph would show all the variant's geo at the same time, as well as visually list all the variants in the Variants field.

i c now that if u right click it you can select the varient.

I haven’t really tried researching what to do for the next part of the setup, but the plan is to create a collection with all the geo variants in them. (also add 2 different material variants)

And then have them randomly assigned to the points in the instancer.

Painting attributes/ color in uv space with a better UI then the atrib paint node whould b verry usefully in the verryleast for grooming but also texture work and who knows what else.

(im just trying using it to set a single pass value on a for each loop.)
with a for loop and variants.
