Hello Mabelzile,
Thanks a lot for your answer, I have no idea how or where to use HOUDINI_PACKAGE_SKIP, can you tell me where to use it please?
I don't see any option in the doc for launching it through commandline https://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini/ref/commandline.html [www.sidefx.com]
Thanks!

Hello everyone,
I am doing some pipeline for our small company. We are using packages that are on a shared network drive to use plugins, which is super cool.
From time to time, I encounter an issue and would like to see if the issue still exists without any plugins.
The package folder is shared to everyone who launches Houdini through a windows env var.
Would there be a way (like an argument maybe) to launch Houdini without any packages? Something like "pathToHoudini.exe -nopackages" ?
I also tried to setup a variable in houdini.env called "ignorePackages" set to 1, and tried to catch it in my package but it does not seem to work
Does anybody have any idea on how to do this, please?
Cheers,
ValDo

Hello!
I'm currently in the process to learn Solaris and find myself using the doc a lot.
I wanted to contribute and post small errors / typo in screenshots or text that I found along the way.
Maybe if someone in SideFX sees them they can modify it if needed?
Cheers,
ValDo
(PS: it could be really cool to be able to copy-paste images from clipboard, and be able to have multiple images in one post )

Hey Raincole,
Most of the tutorials are in videos format as well, mostly because there is a lot of things going on and writing everything is very long to do.
I'm currently learning Solaris and it is text-based (https://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini/solaris/tutorial_1.html) Having a lengthy line to tell you where to connect a node to another is quickly annoying in my opinion.
I wrote documentation for our company and updating text can be as long as re-recording a video.
I think that what would be really cool is to have chapter and term search inside video (maybe with speech to text this thing will come?)
I'm not related to SideFX at all, but I think that for now there is no good solution to me
