Good morning everyone,
I'm doing some tests with Apex and blendshape.
All good using the "APEX Scene Animate" command and controlling the blendshapes from the Scene View. All good also with the extraction of the skeleton controls with "APEX Control Extract" and the subsequent animation with "Rig Pose".
My problem is that I can't extract the blendshape controls with the "APEX Control Extract" command and I need them to synchronize some audio with deformations.
Where am I going wrong? Thanks

Is there a possibility to export more than one animation clip with Houdini's gltf export?

Hi guys,
I present to you the first episode of "Journalism Techniques", my personal animated series created during free time.
Is a satirical series about the world of journalism.

All animation is done in Kinefx. I'm trying APEX for the next animations but I'm still having problems with the blend shape.

Render in Karma and Redshift (about 50-50%) all in Solaris.

Warning: the videos are in Italian with English subtitles but I did the translation with Google Translate (as this topic) and I cannot guarantee its correctness. If you find any disconnected sentences please let me know.

I am now looking for a good agency for translations and speaking in American English... if you know anyone please send me the contact.

The characters speak for themselves with the use of a simple wav file.

Hi Milen,
a year after your post I have the same problem.
However, I found a temporary solution:
Using the Husk utility you can schedule several .usd files with the '&' command:

husk usd_file & husk usd_file & .....

Hi friends,
I created an animation with a Digital Assets.
I would like to replace, in some scenes only, the old HDA with a new ones (I created a new HDA file, not an update of the old one).

I can, of course, rename the new HDA to replace the old ones, but, in this way, all scenes will be update.


are there any other ways?

Hi guys,
after 8 hours of rendering for creating the cache with “File Cache” node for a FLIP Fluid simulation, the computer crashed without finishing the job. Is it now possible to restart the cache rendering from where it was stopped?

Hi Friends,
I have problems with Character Picker: faleid when I click on select buttons: “No targhet nodes”. I tried with my new HDA and with “Simple Female” in Houdini 18.0311 and 18.0327, Windows 10.
No one problem in Houdini 17.5
It's a bug or something change?
