However if you are completely new to this then you may struggle to follow as that tutorial has no audio or explanation for anything that is done. I would recommend looking at some basic particle tutorials such as this one: Introduction to Houdini 13 particles - Rohan Dalvi [vimeo.com]
and then when you get the sort of blood effect you want from the particles look further into meshing and shading them.
