To access at Cd Attributes in COP :
In CHOP create Geometry and add your Geo in SOP, Attributes Scope will be : Cd
Use Pixel COP, red green blue will be the channel of the Geometry CHOP.

Pixel COP is slow, i don't know how we can have access to Point Attributes in VopCop ? (for bypass the pixel COP)

You just open the door of every planetariums ! Now they can render at 360*210, they like this ratio

i speak too fast, planetarieums use a fisheye deformation.
But spherical to fisheye can be converted with Ae Skybox converter.

Do you know if it's in the plan to have a fisheye camera lens build in Mantra?

I see a lot of render have this feature (arnold, vray, maxwell, redshift…)

WOW, i just try, and it works like charm.

You just open the door of every planetariums ! Now they can render at 360*210, they like this ratio

For feedback:
An option for disable Stereo could be nice.
because when objects are too far, we don't need 2 renders.

But set the eye separation to 0 is ok too.

Hi,
I try to render a depth map Pz with the VR Camera and i get this result :


I wonder if it is possible to have more option like the Octane Spherical (equidistant) Camera ?
For the project i am working on, i need a specific FOV (like 180*30 deg), and i don't know where i can change this values on the code.

In attachement a screen shot of octane camera option for VR, and my depth map.

Hi,
I would know if in the preferences we can choose to wiring nodes with one click ?
=
Press the output on a node and Release the input of the other.

I know that we can right clic the output of a node and this automatic wire the node selected.

But sometimes, wiring can be a battle ^^
It's just a suggestion for the workflow

Hi

For fulldome in houdini 2 way :
-Lens shader write by Nhat Phong Tran, call Dome Shader :

-Or render with Polar projection (spherical) and use skybox converter (after effect) to get 210*360

For octane i use alembic export, it s pretty fast, with the beta 3 i get a nice zdepth.

For the resolution : for real time it is 2k for movie playback it is 4k.

TouchDesigner is pretty nice to create fulldome animation for realtime.

Good to read a new Bevel tool on the road.

A selection / create group after, will be appreciate for the workflow. (if we want extrude or delete the new polygons).

You miss the point.
For me the indie version, should have more expensive but with no limitation resolution (like 600$). Apprendice is free and you can render animation at 720p ! wow.

Just an exemple : Tomorrow you have to do an animation for an oculus rift. Your projection camera is setup to Polar ration 2:1 and you get maximum 1920*960, it could be ok for facebook vr only. Sad no?

No disrespectful here, i love side-fx. Since softimage died i only believe at C4D/Houdini. I learn TouchDesigner and Houdini at the same time and it help me a lot. One day i will get the 4500$ but at the moment i can't invest so much in this topnotch software, because i only use it when i can't do it with C4D, and i am to slow in wire connection ^^

I don't care about 4k. some time i want to be able to render 3000*256.
Of course i can hack and render with multiple camera, and compose it but it is not the point.

It's a folding polygons.

I made it with C4D, but i disconnect poly, place null to the edge and anim it with Facture and Plain. But it's a long process… for 1 poly

How i can do it proceduraly? Polygon can only be rotate by center or BBox ?
Subdivide and move the center points to what ?

it's most the term that i don't like, don't say it's for “independent”, people who work alone at home, and give resolution limitation (only for animation).
I Don't know if somebody work for evenementiel, but it's a job for a freelancer it pay less that 100k/year. Most of the time it's only 1 night event so they don't have so much money like VFX company and they give everything for big projectors. I have to make video mapping for a stage/theater and the resolution is huge(or strange).
Now i make video for Dome 2k*2k resolution it's a VJing stuff, and i get a couple of hundred $. That not pay a full version of Houdini. I paid 600$ for not limitation resolution for Touch Designer and it was a good price for me.

i say resolution limitation it's made for free money software, for try.

It's a nice offer to give opportunity for independent artist to work with Houdini.
But today freelancer do not only create visual for TV or web.
Projection mapping, fulldome theater, VR oculus/vive… expand and explode resolution and we need to follow the movement.

I understand the limitation of budget and third party renderers but not the resolution for independent artist.

As you saw, he don't keep channels names.

Hi,
I captured coordonnees with kinect or leap motion from Touch Designer.
And i want bring this to Houdini for add VFX on it, but i try to export every format : .clip.chan.bclip.bchan.aiff.wav
And only .chan can be read, but Channel name are reset. :cry:

i don't know if the probleme come from Houdini or Touch, but i thought they was old friends !

From Houdini to Touch. extension . clip works like charm.

Here my .chan (supp .hip), if someone wanna try.
