i want to attach hair and brow geometry to animated character, in maya i can use wrap deformer to do this i don't know how i can achieve the same thing in houdini please help.

i want to constraint only the rotation of Hip bone and constraint only the translate of Upperleg bone both to the hip control.Am trying to use parent blend and uncheck the corresponding blend(translate for Hip bone and rotate for Upperleg bone) but i don't get the result i want.Help please how to constrain bone translate only or rotation only.

i created rig using autorig in 16.5 but the problem is finger's rotations. when rotating finger it's flip the rotation,i did try several times but i keep getting the same results. Another problem is when you save the guide rig,when you load it again the weird result some parts are missing.IN h 16 michael said python panel not communicate well with houdini so i don't know how to solve this,help please.

the problem is i got three curve for the arm to move back and forth. it's weird because z-axis also got value which this cause the arm to move in arc motion.I provided the hda can use test it please,may be you will understand why i want.

i try right click to check the handles but it's gimbal lock, what can i do to get smooth animation out of this rotation.

am getting extra values when rotating arms and this lead to weird animation result, the movement of the arm don't look right.
When rotating using the y-axis up and down i get clean result. but when rotating the x-axis am getting values in all three axis(x,y,z) which give weird movement of arm back and forth.

the default deformation it's cool but sometime i want to adjust weight to refine the character deformation,Please how to paint weight or adjusting it.

onion skinning in houdini it's very slow unless you turn off deformation, view port performance it's very important during animation i wonder in modo onion skinning it's working without any problem while modo view port is one of the headache when you create rig,because weight painting performance it's very poor.I think houdini need view port improvement because hair and fur performance it's very slow when you enable the hair gen performance become very poor.

it's true learning materials are problem(animation and rigging). I hope sideFX create tutorials special for animation and rigging this will help many people who want to animate in houdini. Am learning animation using houdini there are no resource for animation and rigging due to this am using 3ds max tutorials to learn animation. But rigging it's still problem am using the autorig while waiting for the tutorials but autorig lack the facial controls.

am not talking about contraint object it way to visualize the animation editor curve direct in the view port which simplify to animate character.
