Nice idea )
We need:
1. Native multi components selection. Not so important for modeling at all, but very important for tweak-like tools, be cource of less mouse\keyboards actions.
2. Any type of controling multisnap with HOM. It is new very powerfull feature for script-type tools
3. Flat-style snapping - without showing backface geo components.
PS With new snapping+pyside we can model arch-like geometry with less time

Wait, so does it work? Or do you have only highlighting working?
Yes it does. http://youtu.be/dnU-SQmRPnI [youtu.be]

we have good native highlighted snapping.
all we have to do is using:
1. hou.SceneViewer.selectPositions(self, show_coordinates=False)
2. PySide
I have all and more for stretch tool

hou.SopNode.setPointsSelectionFlag( bool )
hou.SopNode.setEdgesSelectionFlag( bool )
hou.SopNode.setPrimsSelectionFlag( bool )
would be good
PS Sory for many posts, but I symply edit my ideas )

or this one for multi-snapping defaults

Moreover, i think maybe not multi-select, but possibility to toggle components types (as flags). In this case we can have masks with any combinations of types (points, edges, prims)
And maybe SHIFT+CLICK for toggling types on the toolbar in ‘selection’ state

You are still missing Paint Effects there. Are they coming in next iteration?
Not all cells filled in this image  Sory.

Stop arguing loony!!! Stay with Houdini 13 and your create polygon tool and do what you want.
I repeat for the especially stupid
I dont want to copy any of MODELING & UI feature from maya or any other AD software (excluding XSI). I used maya about ~13 years. And most of last 8 years i worked on changing maya ui and modeling and NEVER USED HOTBOX for modeling

IMO the best 3d-modeling-application examples are: XSI, Lightwave Modeler and, of cource, Silo

Also i think about context-sensetivity of menu.
I can add RMB menu that contains commands according to components-type.
And it can depends on place where you pressed it. For example if no geo under the mouse it show view menu, in other case it show components menu. Something like in xsi.
Any remarks are welcomed!

Exactly ! And he doesn't understand me
There are many different ways to speedup modeling process.
In this case (unapproved) menu divided by 4 zones:
1. Left (RED) - operations that remove geometry (dissolve, clip, etc)
2. Right - operations that add geometry (extrude, etc)
3. Top - Create something + main edit (Delete history etc)
4. Bottom - transformation tools that doesn`t change topology (Tweak, Align etc)
PS Sory for bad english.

mantragora yes
the idea is getting main power of maya hotbox - quick acces to most wanted commands near the mouse. But the difference is that this is only modeling commands without many submenus.

Any posibility for adding multi-select (points, edges, prims) in next releases?
I know that you rewriten some parts of geometry engine
so maybe in H14.5?

Thanx. Also most of hotkey tools works as sticky keys
thanx to new Qt UI subsystem. God bless SESI for using Qt
