If you have a commercial version of Houdini then you can publish and sell .hda files anywhere.
If you have an indie version of Houdini then you can publish and sell .hdalc files but these can only be opened by other indie users.
If you have Apprentice then you can ONLY sell .hdanc files on Orbolt because the EULA allows that.
The advantage of Orbolt is that your .hdanc and .hdalc files will be converted to .hda files for everyone to use. This creates a bigger audience for your assets. You can then set up a webpage to promote the asset and point to Orbolt or publish a tutorial on the SideFX website that teaches how the asset works.

Houdini Engine plugins for Unreal and Maya for Apple Silicon will become available once Autodesk and Epic release production-ready Apple Silicon versions of Maya and Unreal respectively.
