Grain Sprite Viewport Limitation?

Hi,
i've recently ran into a problem, according to the viewport representation (shaded mode).

If i dial down the grain-particle-seperation to a certain resolution, some of the shown sprites are “gone”. As i switch to wire frame mode, everything is there, so i think it's kind o a viewport thing.
(Screenshot attached)

Does anyone know the settings for this, or is it a natural limitation of Houdini?

cheers

…thanks for the reply.
I dialed it up to 500 Million prims, but with no effect.

over 5 Million sprites artifacts in viewport, looking for fix suggestion, or similar experiences,
I am eager to know if this 5M limit is occurring only for me or it is general Houdini limit.
