landscape question:
I want to transfer a geo to heightfield, so that P.y of the geo translates to the height value of the heightfield.
Any idea how to do it?


The “convert heightfield” node converts only one way, landscape -> polys . I'd like to do the inverse.

1) Add a Heightfield SOP down, size it to fit your geometry.
2) Using Heightfield Project, connect the hieghtfield to input #1 and your geometry to input #2.
3) Adjust the divisions of the Heightfield SOP until you get the desired detail.
