Hi all. This is my first post.
I'm a beginner at Houdini.
I'm trying to render AOVs with Mantra.

But I cannot get the image of specular.
Would anyone teach me how to get it?

●current settings

-Mantra:
Extra Image Planes>
Here I've already set occlusion(Oc), motion vector(mv) , specular(spec) as Extra Image Planes.

-SHOP:
Material Shader Builder>
Please look at the picture I attached.

I could succeed in getting images of occlusion and motion vector based on some tutorials. But I cannot find any good one for specular….

Thanks!

specular is a lighting pass, not an aov. If you added combined lighting(per component) or direct and indirect lighting (per component) the reflection pass will be exported as all_reflect or direct_reflect or indirect_reflect. There is no “specular” in pbr materials, but you could think of direct_reflect as the specular component.

Now I understand.
As I had been studying Arnold and they call it “specular” , I was really confused.

Thank you for your explanation!
