Hey all,

is there a easy procedural way to group the revolve divisions? I already tried include by edges / min edge angle, but this works not with every form.

The other idea was to create a reference copy and change the surface type to columns to transfer the edges somehow?

Best, Joseph

Hi,

you can try to use the division count as offset value, to get the next neighbour point, which should be the edge (together with the

source point).

or rethink ?

- in revolve, don't enable end caps

- no need for blast, see above

- bevel, as is with Ignore Flat edges>Normal angle ~20ish
(ie. no need to group the edges manually, clear your selection out entirely!)

simples.

ahhh, sorry you need the bottom, of course…enable end caps back on

welllllllllllllllllllllllllll I will not admit defeat…..there's always DIY !!!

here…I modded the Revolve so that there's an edge group called xsection, then you can bevel this group.

go ahead, change the revolve Divs til the cows come home…will still work.
