Since I couldn't find any topic on this: How Should I go about grouping the imported geometry from ue4 based on the material they are using. This is using Houdini engine.
Trying to use the partition node with rule ‘unreal_material’ doesn't seem to work. I have unchanging references to specific material from ue4 to check against but nothing seems to get grouped.
Are you sure that you're getting unreal_material passed properly? I did a quick test and you should be able to see it if you open the asset for debugging (File > Open Scene In Houdini)
Check that first. Otherwise, it's an issue with partitioning. Maybe do it with for-loop.
