Render GEO nodes with TOPs in sequence

Goal: Render each geo node in a sequence via TOPs without being overlapped on render. I would like to have them to be saved as they were rendered separately.

Problem: Changing geo node visibility. If 2 nodes are rendered one be one, they overlap on the render. I don't know/understand how to render geo node one be one without being overlapped.

Or how to hide or unhide geo node via TOPs (or another way). For example when the first geo node is done -> hide it from the second render and so on.

I'm using this approach to render small batches of particles rather than rendering big batch at once. After that want to combine them in post.

After looking for around 15 minutes on a forum, I haven't found a similar issue. Let me know if there's already a solution to that, or if it's even possible to do it, or if additional information is needed 🙂 Thank you for taking the time to have a look.

The expected result is the first image and the actual result is the second image. The third image is a TOPs network graph.

as a simple solution you can filter the objects to be rendered

uakin, thank you for the answer 🙂 I have tried before writing the question, however, this is not quite what I'm looking for as it's kind of a "hardcoded [www.google.com]" way. Or maybe not for such a task. Hm.

Thank you for mentioning it anyway. I'll experiment with this approach until another way comes in. Thank you for taking the time to reply.

UPD1: Using "Force objects" and "Exclude objects" still produces the same render (overlapped) so this not solves the problem. Forcing "geo1" and excluding "geo2" under the Mantra node.

UPD2: I ended up doing this in /out context by creating the same amount on Mantra nodes as GEO nodes I had in /obj context. Then hide all GEO nodes in SOPs, and force adding GEO objects to each Mantra node.

"Node by Node" will tell Houdini to render the first GEO with all frames (if frame range), then it will move to the second Mantra node, and so on. If set to "Frame by frame" it will tell Houdini to render each frame from all Mantra nodes, then it will render the second frame from all nodes, and so on. Basically, it will render one frame at a time from all nodes plugged into the Merge node.
