How do I remove this grid of particles? When I try to cache and render as fluid, the grid does too. I just want my actual source shape to render.

How can I remove the dark grid from my scene - in the attached image? The water is flowing on the curved part and the grid is just in the way. I'm trying to just make a video of the viewport to see the particles flow with the gradient but this big block is in my way.
