Hello all.
I am doing some Mantra rendering testing, and I have found very hard
to get blurry reflections/refractions working.
As soon as I increased Specular/Reflection/Refraction angle it blurs
reflactions/refractions but it also creates a lot of noise as
expected.
I haven't found any good way to remove this noise. Increasing the
sampling quality of the lights that contributes to specualr didn't
help, neither increasing the sampling quality for object reflection or
refraction.
I have also tried increasing the Min/Max Ray Samples and reduce the Noise Level.
Nothing seams to really helps, except I haveto increase the values to
crazy numbers, which obviously makes the render not practical.
So I have to put a very subtle blurry, like 0.2 to make the nosie less
noticiable.
Any tips aboyt how to get clean reflections/refractions?
For the specular light I am not using a comvoluted environment map,
will it helps?
I am using H11, has Mantra for H12 improved on this side?
