I'm sure many of you are already aware of this. This should help sidefx (and me, I need some new tuts) a lot. http://www.vfxpro.com/brief/mainv/0,2444,35895,00.htmlwow! -ben. Magee Joins Side Effects By Catherine Feeny June 12, 2002 01:44 PM PDT Side Effects Software announced that Robert Magee has joined the company in the newly designated position of customer experience specialist. The role will include developing comprehensive video, print and interactive multimedia training and education solutions for the Houdini community of animators. With this new hire, Side Effects Software is reaffirming its commitment to educating Houdini animators and enhancing the experience for new artists entering into the professional 3D arena. Magee is a ten-year veteran of Alias|Wavefront. He designed and co-authored both "The Art of Maya" and "Learning Maya" books while with Alias. He was also the editor of the Assistant newsletter in print and on-line, and was involved in the creation of training materials for Maya, Studio, PowerAnimator, Alias Sketch! and Alias upFRONT customers. "While the Houdini interface is very easy to use," said Magee, "education is still vital for helping customers explore all of the workflows available to them." __________________________________________________________ Ben Simons Physics Building, A28, VisLab Systems Manager The University of Sydney.
