Houdini 6.0.286 Compositor

Houdini 6.0.246 on Linux Hello All, O.K... I've spent time with the new compositor, and it is definitely more stable than versions of Comp2 I've used previously. However, and I apologize in advance for this rant but when you're on a tight deadline and your "new improved" software interferes with your usual production flow, it's hard to hold back. I admit I'm not totally familiar with Comp2... so I'll leave the possibility open that I'm not optimizing where possible.... but.... WHY IS COMP2 SOOOO SLOOOOW?!!! I'm working on NTSC sized frames and it's choking on comp networks the previous compositor would breeze through. I now have a production bottle-neck where none existed previously! Is there a "Shake mole" writing compositor code at SESI? Is it old-fashioned to expect new software to be faster and easier to use than the code it replaces? Floyd
