Why is there a gap between different layers when rendering with force matte? May 16, 2019, 7:44 a.m.
Here I am rendering a crashing helicopter. I render the pyro explosion and rbd helicopter in different layer with force matte, but when I composite then in Nuke, there is a gap among the edge of the alpha matte, as seen in the picture.
When I tried to render them together in one layer, the problem don't exist.
I have tried shrinking or expanding alpha channel in Nuke, but it seems not the cause.
Doesn't anyone know something about this issue? I am using Houdini 17/17.5. Thx!

TantoI found the solution just after I write the post . Thanks all the same.
The setting is in Display Options/Textures/3D Textures/Limit Resolution. You might have to change frame for the setting to take effect.
Houdini 17.5 viewport volume March 23, 2019, 1:02 a.m.
I am using Houdini 17.5 to make a smoke blast and the smoke displayed in viewport is always in a bad quality.
Of course it's not an issue of my simulation, cuz I opened exactly the same file in Houdini 16.5 and the smoke in viewport turned out to be quite good.
I've checked all the possible settings about viewport like volume quality, HDR rendering, High quality lighting, etc. None of them works. Am I missing something or is that due to the update of viewport in Houdini 17.5?
Please check the screenshots in attachment if someone could help. Thx!
