are the sub folders and files of /houdini*.* write-able as well ?

whenever i right click on the folder and untick read only in the houdini folder.
Its not getting set.It gets changed.could you tell me how to make it writeable?

My problem was that the Houdini 16.5 folders and sub-folders were set to read-only.

I could disable their read-only by unchecking in folder / sub-folder properties, and immediately start Houdini, but by the time Houdini loads, the folders are reverted back to read-only.

Finally, I found out that my Bit Defender protection software was doing this. In my version of Bit Defender, I had to go to my Application Access, to allow Side Effects applications to access the content of those folders.
