Old thread, but stumbled upon the same problem and found a fix. Disable Windows UAC. Maybe someone needs this sometime.
Hqueue: Limit Number of Clients per Job Jan. 13, 2018, 12:14 p.m.
Since we have a varying amount of clients which are present in our Houdini Farm, we would like to Limit the Number of Clients working a submitted RenderJob via Hqueue.
At our university environment we have the following problem/situation:
Some of the clients will be temporarily unavailable or will come online at some point when a student turns on or off a machine. So we would like to send off a render with all possible machines, and Hqueue should start/stop scheduling if the maximum amount of licenses is hit. Otherwise additional renders would fail because of lack of licenses, or less than available licenses are used. As far as i know almost every other scheduling system stops scheduling jobs when there is no additional license, but I didn't find an option with Hqueue.
Do you have some suggestions how to solve this problem?
Thank you.
Cheers,
Elmar
