Here is some of my strangeness:

I have just gotten the free trial aprentice version from 3D World magazine. After installing all text is kind of fuzzy like its almost out of focus. Also in almost all menu rollouts like “preferences” etc. when I place my mouse cursor over the menu the whole thing skews sideways on about a 30 degree angle making it all pixelated and illegable.

I am thinking there is some kind of driver configuration issue here. I am a 3ds Max user and when you install that program it asks you if you wnat to run in software mode, Open GL, or Direct 3D before it even starts the first time. Houdini gave me no such option, and I can't see the menus to even know if I can find such an option within the program.

Help, what do I do?
