I guess I am looking for a 2d approach to creating wake, waves, and ripples in a surface. I have boats, oars, etc. reacting with the water surface. I need a way to create realistice wake and ripples from that interaction.
Thanks

floating point precision problem with ropping sub-frame Feb. 11, 2006, 6:07 p.m.
We just swiched over to 8.0.410, and I am seeing a problem with the rop output driver. I am writing out geometry at sub-frame (every .1 frames. When I run a range out (1001-1058 by .1), I see that the current frame starts to deviate by a small amount while it is ropping out. It seems to start out ok (1001 1001.1 1001.2), but quickly turns into (1010.19 1010.29 etc..) I am compenstaing for it by putting an expression in the frame naming (file_name.`round($FF*10)/10`.bgeo), but I am afraid that this might not be enough. Is there something I can do to fix this?
I am also seeing a proble in CHOPs, where I use the geometry CHOP to bring in sub-frame geo info (every .1 frames) and I see that the values in CHOPs don't line up with every .1 frames. Seems like the same type of deviation.
Any help would be great.
Thanks
