Setting uproperty on multiple points not working. Feb. 9, 2022, 9:14 a.m.

I'm trying to instance a Skeletal Mesh in UE5, change the Animation mode to asset and apply an animation asset to it.
It works fine when I only have one mesh, but my HDA seems to ignore all the uproperty attributes on the points that aren't the first ones into the final merge node.

For example, I have a character that spawns in and he gets assigned his idle animation, his clothes spawn in as well (so unreal_instance is working) but none of the clothes get the animation uproperty settings so they get no animations.

If I move the 'clothes points' in Houdini to be the first ones to go into the merge, they get the animation and uproperty settings but not the body.

Is this a bug or am I just going about this the wrong way?

Don't worry about it. Everyone is overwhelmed at first. Just keep poking at it every day and things will start to make sense, I promise!

Once you start wrapping your head around some common workflows things will snowball from there.
