PUMPKIN HELL - BEGINNER SERIES

Part I : Parametric Model

I figured it's October, let's make pumpkins ! So in this "Pumpkin Hell" tutorial I am first taking the time to talk more in detail about procedural modeling .. I usually try to explain my thoughts process as much as I can, but going slower and deeper this time so hopefully should help if you are still fairly new with Houdini procedural.

A Houdini introduction and some basics with sop  is required to understand this tutorial.

Don't get desperate if you can't totally grasp everything yet... there's a reason it's called "pumpkin hell" . A lot of information in one hour and I still picked a pretty challenging topic for beginner.

Carving pattern used for this tutorials can be downloaded on : https://www.designbolts.com/

This is super super amazing. I watched the whole thing. I'm gonna watch again and try to do it. One thing I have to say though, this is definitely not beginner level. I've been using Houdini a few months now and practice every day or every few days. I know I've combined that with other software practice but I got a descent understanding of the Houdini workflow, procedural and UI. This tutorial is seriously amazing. Again, not beginner at all. I still will attempt to follow and do it. thank you for all your tutorials. They are brilliant

I'm getting some round indents in the seems around 16:00 where the randomization gets added to the pointvop. Double checked all the settings from the beginning, but I can't seem to figure out what's causing it. Adjusting the frequency slider seems to fix it some of the time, but it shouldn't be happening at all. Anyone got any ideas what might be causing this?
