TopoTransfer

  • New Topo Flow node for 4D processing of scanned geometry with texture alignment.

    Scene files demonstrating how to use Topo Flow to fit a template mesh to a series of scans for the purpose of capturing facial expressions with correct texture alignment are available for download on the Content Library.

  • The Texture Feature, Texture Optical Flow, and Topo Flow Sample use computer vision to find features in textures.

Heightfields and terrains

  • Tapered heightfields allow frustum-shaped heightfields.

  • New heightfield sharpen parameters on HeightField Blur.

Volumes

  • You can now create vector and integer volumes.

  • New VDB Rasterize Frustum SOP for rasterizing point attributes into density, mask, float, vector, and integer grids.

  • Added the Preserve Holes parameter on the VDB from Polygons SOP to properly keep holes and generally perform better at closing small gaps.
