If I have a 10 by 10 grid and I have selected a square using an edge - somewhere in the middle of this edge, how can I align this square to a circle (circle align).

You can do it using Circle from Edges SOP:

or if you are editing within Edit SOP you can RMB/Make Circle ( Shift + C )
