I’ll start this topic by acknowledging that most users are not a fan of the steam version of Houdini for various reasons but I was wondering if anyone knew if Houdini would be taking part in the steam sale this year as they have done previously?

I’m on the verge of buying indie license back but if I can save a few pennies I would consider waiting for a sale drop.

What is the price difference when on sale as opposed to buying direct from side fx?

afaik from past 4years haven't seen houdini go on sale on steam can't say about earlier years.

Houdini never went on sale. The current price and the lowest price are the same.

Anyway why tf would SideFX encourage you to buy the steam version?
