If I create a take and I want to turn off entire "Objects" at the top level, sometimes it allows me to and sometimes I get the message "Permission Denied"... and sometimes for an object that I was able to disable in a different take. I have been unable to figure out why it works sometimes/sometimes not.

Every take is a child of the main take. By default each parameter and flag on the nodes in a child take are locked. You can right click on a parameter while in a child take and select to „include in take“. now the parameter is editable and can have a different value than the main take.
This can also be achieved by Activating auto takes in take drop down. now every parameter and node flag can be chaged in the child take. and every change will be an override to the main takes settings.
This is how this works.
The thing one has to keep in mind is not to change stuff in child takes and then wondering why the main take looks different.
So auto take should be used consciously.

I was looking how to turn off "Display" in the objects layer. Whenever I made a new take I got the "permission denied" prompt. I do now see the "Make Display Editable in Take", just not as obvious.
thanks
