I need to buy a PC Workstation for Houdini (mainly for FX) : latest Intel i9_14900K seems to be prolematic with Houdini (crashes)?
If somebody experimented can tell me wich config is the best for a budget around 5000+ euros ($)?

Needs sim for: Flip, Pyro, etc: wich CPU is best?

Karma XPU: with Nvidia 5090?

I have Houdini 20.5 Indie and begin with that soft for fx.. (+ Maya, C4D, etc)

I have AMD Ryzen 9, 16 cores here, 128 GB DDR4 @3200, ultra-fast M.2, and an RTX 4070 TI Super with 16GB of VRAM on a 4K monitor, it works very well, no crashes under either Windows 10 Pro or Linux, you don't need a beast to do VFX !!!
