Hi all,
I’m trying to create concentric, layered geometry—similar to the layers of an onion—with a striped structure (and potentially multiple colours later on).
In the HIP file below, I’m using a letter “F” as the base shape. The goal is to slice through the geometry using a Clip SOP, so that the cross-section cleanly reveals the internal layers, like cut-through playdough.
HIP file:

I’ve made some progress, but I’m not yet getting the result I’m after—the layers aren’t being exposed cleanly or consistently in the clipped cross-section.
I’d really appreciate any advice on the correct SOP-level approach for constructing and revealing this kind of layered geometry.
Thanks!
